リホージェフにつづきヴァレヌーハも失踪して、リムスキイは？？？状態のなか、魔術師一行到着。ヴァリエテ劇場の幕が開き、札束の雨が降り、ご婦人方は最新ファッションに身を包む。司会のベンガリスキーはベゲモートに頭を引っこ抜かれ、賓客の劇場委員会会長センプレヤーロフ氏の不倫は曝かれ、大混乱。
陽気なベガリンスキーが首を取られ泣き叫ぶのを憐れんだ観客の要請にこたえて、ヴォランド氏は
